VIM Testimonial

“I have a new hip and finally NO PAIN! I was lucky that I found VIM. After working hard my whole life, at 60 I found myself not only unemployed, but also uninsured and “uninsurable”. Now I’m back to work!

I will be forever grateful for the dedication of the CCVIM clinic staff, volunteers and donors who helped me to understand the necessity of controlling my diabetes. I feel so much better and can take care of my family!”

WE HELP GRANDMOTHERS STAY INVOLVED WITH THEIR GRANDCHILDREN!

One patient came to us with blood sugars over 500 and worried that she might not be here much longer to enjoy her little granddaughter.  Our staff helped her become more aware of the dangers of her high blood sugars and the changes she needed to make to control them.  She changed her diet, joined the yoga and walking classes at the Clinic and her numbers are now much lower.  She is thankful to the clinic for helping her have more time to spend with her granddaughter.

AM I GOING TO DIE?

Imagine being anxious, scared and feeling so bad you think you will die.  A new patient thought he was having a heart attack because of severe chest pain and shooting pain down the left arm.  One of our volunteer doctors examined him, diagnosed the pain as a severe muscle injury, and prescribed medication.  Now imagine how relieved our new patient is to know that all would be well.

WE SAVE PUPPIES TOO!

One of our patients arrived with blood pressure close to 300.  He was missing a lot of work because of being tired and feeling bad.  After an exam and medication, he started to feel better and better.  He could work regularly, pay his bills and support his family.  He felt so good that he adopted two puppies who are thriving.
